Hypnosis and Stopping Smoking

Stopping Smoking - History, and what going on ...

Recently, stopping smoking has become the ‘thing’, is seen as more positive
and has a big impact on people’s lives, all mainly due to the smoking ban put
into place in England, on July 1st 2007.

The ban stopped people from smoking in public places, such as clubs, bars,
restaurants, cafés, rail stations and any other known public
places.

Research shows that almost 165,000 people in England gave
up smoking with the help of the NHS last summer, when smoking was banned in
enclosed public spaces. This is a 28% increase in the number of people
successfully using NHS Stop Smoking Services compared to 2006.

There are many different ways to give up smoking, hypnotherapy being one of
many ways to give up smoking, including nicotine patches, the inhalor, nicotine
chewing gum, microtabs, lozenges, nicotene nazal spray and there has also been
introduced a prescription-only pill to help people quit smoking which has
received draft approval for use on the NHS. This pill is called
Varenicline (Champix) is the first non-nicotine drug developed specifically to
help smokers give up, and was licensed to be prescribed in the UK in 2006.

On October 1st 2007 the age restriction was raised from the age of 16 to 18
years old. The Government believed that in the course of the introduction of
restricted age for buying cigarettes the amount of smoking children would
decrease. It was planned that restriction on tobacco products was to go in line
with alcohol restriction.

In the research that I have discovered, it shows that the percentage of
people smoking has gone down due to the smoking ban and age restrictions, this
has made a big impact on a lot of people in England.

The cold hard facts are this:

In 1992 New Scientist Magazine published the results of an extensive
clinical study on the most effective smoking cessation methods. A
meta-analysis, statistically combining the results of more than 600 studies
(over 72,000 individual cases) showed that single session hypnosis increased a
smoker's success chance by 1000% from 6% to 60%.

Thats 1000%!

There have been many studies now that have proven that Hypnotherapy is the
number 1 way to stop smoking successfully. Fact!
